چکیده
Rice husks are a feedstock of biogenic silica because their high content. After extraction, solid residue comprising mostly carbohydrates is present. Solid valorization important for closed-loop systems using rice husk and has minimal negative environmental impacts. In this study, we used that was generated by extractionto anaerobic digestion producing biomethane. The characterized in terms total solids, volatile pH, composition, particle size. Changing the characteristics increased biogas production 2.48-fold compared to raw husk. produced 166.4 mL-biogas g−1 vs. 100.4 mL CH 4 VS, much more than previously reported. Microbial community analysis, which conducted investigate biological reasons methane, found Bacteroidetes levels samples. Among archaeal communities, Bathyarchaeota abundant all samples inoculum. contained operational taxonomic units other These changes microbial significantly influenced improved methane production. Our findings provide basis cleaner utilization produce renewable energy.

Enhanced Methane Production from Anaerobic Co-Digestion of Wheat Straw and Herbal-Extraction Process Residues
The efficient biosynthesis of methane from renewable biomass resources is discussed in this paper. Herbal-extraction process residues (HPR) are an excellent raw material for anaerobic digestion because of their abundant trace elements and fermentation stability. Anaerobic codigestion of wheat straw with HPR was evaluated at HPR/wheat straw ratios (based on total solids (TS), of wheat straw) of ...
متن کاملMethane production by anaerobic digestion of wastewater and solid wastes
Anaerobic conversion of organic materials and pollutants is an established technology for environmental protection through the treatment of wastes and wastewater. The end product is biogas –a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide–, which is a useful, renewable energy source. Anaerobic digestion is a technologically simple process, with a low energy requirement, used to convert organic material ...
متن کاملMethane Production by Anaerobic Digestion of Water Hyacinth (eichhornia Crassipes)
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) is an aquatic biomass species that exhibits prolific growth in many s s o f h e world (1). It has been suggested as a strong candidate for production of methane because of high biomass yield potential (2). Several studies have been carried out which establish that methane can be produced from water hyacinth under anaerobic digestion conditions (3-6). Both b...
متن کاملProduction of Silica Nanoparticles from Rice Husk as Agricultural Waste by Environmental Friendly Technique
Extensive application of silica nanoparticles (SNPs) in various industrial products has led to the development of silica extraction methodologies out of various waste products. Rice husk is an agricultural waste with a high content of amorphous silica. However, the presence of metal ion impurities and unburned carbon in the rice husk content may present an adverse effect on product color and pu...
